Based on the short story “All You Zombies” by Robert A. Heinlein, Predestination chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent (Ethan Hawke) sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career. Now, on his final assignment, the Agent must recruit his younger self while pursuing the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time.

  • Trippy AF

I have to say I still can't grasp what all the twists and turns meant. I am stupefied but it was still highly entertaining and definitely kept me wondering throughout the movie which is unusual for me. Ethan Hawke always does an incredible job.
  • I loved it!

I thought the acting was spot on by the two leads and the whole time travel loop story is actually very novel. I was very surprised at how well this was put together.
  • I want my money back...

I was duped into thinking that this was a sci-fi time travel movie... Half way through the movie, after focusing ENTIRELY on this "woman" and her sex change because she is one of .0001% of the population that has both sex organs... HALF of the movie... HALF. No time traveling just talking about how this woman's life changed her. I stopped watching finally so that I could find an ACTUAL science fiction movie that is about what its trailers and description says it is. And? 100% we all know who the bomber is since this particular character is focused on for at least half the movie. How do people rate this more than 2 stars?? Liars got my $3. But all they deserve is my 1 star review. Lame.

  • Exactly why time travel doesn’t exist

Great acting! (5star) Interesting build in the story.
  • Predictable

It's obvious that he is the guy/girl he's chasing
  • Okay.... just okay... slow at first, then rushes to predictable end

slow at first, then rushes to predictable end. One giant plot hole... why? Why does Robertson start the whole thing. What's he get out of it? Was it just an experiment to learn "a lot of things." Time-travel paradox is obvious but ignored. the not so subtle joke about the chicken or the egg is a bit on the nose, too.
  • Boring and predictable

    Cheap production

I don't believe that I have seen an Ethan Hawke movie that I didn’t like. This is just another one. Time travel stories are always facinating to me and I watch everyone I can. This breaks the mold for these type stories with twists and turns that I have never seen before and the ending makes you sit there wondering about the possibilities that it presents.
  • It's O.K.

Unique and some what perverted plot . Needed more special effects.
