Description

The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim’s (Domhnall Gleeson) father (Bill Nighy) tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can’t change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life - so he decides to make his world a better place...by getting a girlfriend (Rachel McAdams). But as his unusual life progresses, Tim finds out that his unique gift can’t save him from the sorrows and ups and downs that affect all families, everywhere. From filmmaker Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral), About Time is a comedy about love and time travel, which discovers that, in the end, making the most of life may not need time travel at all.

From writer and/or director who brought us Love Actually and Notting Hill comes another in the same track but with an interesting twist. While a rom com at it’s core, About Time explores other and somewhat deeper questions of life and happiness while stressing the importance of family and togetherness. Do not hesitate to see this movie.

It’s a really good movie. I give it a 8/10! Definitely recommend seeing it. Maybe not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Watch the trailer first before deciding you don’t like it and wanna spread hate :)

This movie brings out the shortness of life and how each decision is ever so important. This would be an extremely depressing movie if you don’t know Jesus and have hope for eternal life that only He can give. I don’t believe in time travel but this is one of the best portrayals of it but a closer look at time travel always reveals its short fall and never satisfies the outcome we would hope we could have. Great movie though for realizing we must enjoy everyday we are given!

"About Time" takes a simple life lesson: "live every day of your life to the fullest"; and creates a wonderful love story that explores this message, expands it, and makes you reconsider the truly important things in life. This is not only a romatic love story, but it is a familial love story, and a self-love story. Domnhall Gleeson's character takes us through a touching journey of insecurity, determination, and self-realization. The film is shot in a very simplistic manner that makes the audience feel like they are in the streets of London as the two main characters fall in love right next to them.

A touching movie of love; Not only romantic love but love for family and friends. That is the main theme in this film, the time travel is secondary. Very well written script and great acting. This has become one of my favorite movies!
