When soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he’s part of an experimental government program called the “Source Code” that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. Armed with the task of identifying the bomber of a Chicago commuter train, Colter must re-live the incident over and over again, gathering clues until he can solve the mystery and prevent an even deadlier second terrorist attack. Captivating from start to finish, Source Code is the mind-blowing action thriller Richard Roeper calls “Confounding, exhilarating, challenging--and the best movie I've seen so far in 2011.

When I saw this movie I was like wow this movie really peeled it off. It's intense and disturbing even when your on a train your will be feared and awakened by the sense of the intense value of real life murder.

  • A Plot with More Holes Than Swiss Cheese

This catastrophe of a film throws you in the middle of a plot with no introduction of how you got there. Jake Gylanhall seems to try to make it work, but there is just too much erratic crud that keeps being introduced that I quickly lost interest in the film. It took me 3 tries coming back mid film each time to finally get through this painful experience. It's not until the end that the plot is explained, but by that point you really have lost interest and just want it to be over.

Maybe the premise is a bit out there, but it was well executed. I enjoyed the movie and recommend it to rent. The actors did a great job.
  • Words cannot express how much fun this movie is

This is by far one of my favorite action pictures: it packs in humor and action and romance, and sci-fi (don’t let that scare you) very naturally. The movie is better with multiple showings. Although it’s too bad I can’t erase my memory and see it afresh, but no worries: it’s one of those movies, at least for me, that I never tire of and the movie keeps my attention even though I’ve memorized much of the dialogue. I actually feel now a bit like I’m a character in the movie reliving the event with each showing. I hope you like this movie too. It’s so much fun that you’ll have to watch it again and again.

This is an okay film with an interesting premise. Jake Gyllenhaal does an excellent job. I'm not sure whether I like the ending or not.

This one requires a brain. Not an action flick per se, but it is filled with tension. This film will leave you thinking a bit.
