Celebrate 75 Years of Glamour from 20th Century Fox! Two glamorous showgirls have everything a girl could want โ€“ except engagement rings! In a quest for true love, Lorelei (Marilyn Monroe) and her gold digger pal Dorothy (Jane Russell) set sail on a luxury-liner for France. While on board, the pair hit rocky waters when a manipulative detective (Elliot Reid), an over-aged millionaire (Charles Coburn), and the entire men's Olympic Gymnastics team try to put an anchor in their marriage-minded mischief. It's a wild and joyous funny ride across the Atlantic as Lorelei and Dorothy plan and plot a way to land their men!

  • Time-Compressed

I like this movie a lot, but this is the second Marilyn Monroe movie I've run across ("The Seven Year Itch" is the other) in iTunes that has been inexplicably time-compressed. The run time is about 4 minutes shorter than the dvd version and the time listed on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB). It appears that there are no edits, but when played side-by-side with the dvd, the iTunes version runs faster.

I am a huge GPB fan and I know every word to this. When it was taken off Netflix, I resorted to iTunes, and the music on here is like 1 octave higher and a bit faster than the original music and it's driving me insane. Why??
  • Not in Cinemascope!

    By outer limits fan
This great movie was filmed in a very widescreen Cinemascope. Itunes shows it as "full screen" that means a very large portion of the sides have been hacked off to make it full screen. This is a 20th Century Fox classic and it deserves far better treatment than this! Apple, please negoiate with 20th Century Fox to get a proper Cinemascope version. I'm sure Apple has the influence to get this done.

This is one of the greatest movies that I have ever seen. All the actors and actresses did wonderful and the musical numbers were fantastic! God bless Marilyn and Jane and may they rest in peace!

Its hard not love this movie. Both Russell and Monroe are stunningly beautiful. It is a must-have for any Monroe or Russell fan. The soundtrack is fantastic. The story is happy, campy, witty, and playful.
  • I'm not a big fan of Monroe but.....

This was actually really good! There are only a few of her movies that I like and this is definitely one of them! Plus it has the gorgeous Jane Russell in it! I wish they had done more movies together! I'm glad they didn't dub Monroe's singing voice, she really did well! Decide for yourself!
  • One of my favorites. :)

This movie won't change your life or anything, but it will provide you with a good time, some pleasurable songs, and a few laughs. Marilyn Monroe dishes up another classic. (When told she wasn't playing the lead role, she allegedly replied, "So? I'm still the blonde!")
  • Super Cute!

Marilyn is absolutely adroable in this movie! I love her in Some Like it Hot, but she is so cute in this movie! Some of the greatest one liners ever. I loved it!
  • That just not right

I LOVE Marilyn Monroe to death but how they just gone cut Jane Russell out of the cover picture. She was just as much a part of the movie as Marilyn...
