Walt Disney Animation Studios’ "Raya and the Last Dragon" travels to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together in harmony long ago. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well. "Raya and the Last Dragon" features the voices of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya, a warrior whose wit is as sharp as her blade, and Awkwafina as the magical, mythical, self-deprecating dragon named Sisu. Characters also include a street-savvy 10-year-old entrepreneur named Boun, the formidable giant Tong and a thieving toddler Noi with her band of Ongis.

  • Just okay, for Disney

Solid ending sequence and storyline wrap up, but found myself not all that interested and my mind was wandering leading up to it. Did not have the humor nor relatable and entertaining characters from the Tangled/Frozen/Moana class. Three stars if it weren’t Disney. Two because it was, and I expected more.
  • Leave Disney alone for a few years = fail

That dragon character is one of the lamest most annoying characters Disney=death has ever created!!! The way it acts, talks and behaves is irritating and stupid. All the success the Pixar takeover had on Disney=death has finally worn off.
  • Surprisingly good!

After negative reviews of it being similar a Marvel movie or lack of music, I had low expectations. Raya met and exceeded them! A cross between She-Ra and almost exactly like the Pixar movie Brave I was extremely happy. Sisu voiced by Awkwafina was like Robin Williams in Aladdin, adding the icing in the cake. It is DEFINITELY a Disney fairytale, dare I say my favorite Disney fairytale of all time?!

  • Pretty to look at but…

Not much more. Felt very recycled on most levels. And don’t even get me started on the ninja-esque baby thief and the monkeys. I literally groaned and rolled my eyes when they started their antics.

This movie was nothing special. It was definitely a fun Disney movie, but it in no way stood out from any other Disney movies. Fun to maybe watch once or twice
